Furna d’Água

Nearby, only a few metres of the crossing at Cabrito, is another large lava cavern, the Furna d’Água, probably dating from the same eruption about 2000 years ago. The lava tube, which covers, together with its ramifications, a length of about 500 m, contains several dripstones and water sources and can also be visited, but it is recommended to check opening times beforehand.
