São Miguel - South to northwest Route

The mountains surrounding Ponta Delgada offer some breathtaking panoramic views of the island, which makes it worthwhile to drive up there. About 3 km north, you will find the Pico Salomão, 6 km northeast the Pico da Lima and approx. 10 km northeast lies the Pico do Fogo.
